Houston Ultimate Community: Leadership Meeting Oct 9th

Andrew:
- got a form saying we're reinstated with the state of Texas
- need a letter from someone from the original board
- need to move the mailing address to someone who is active

Fall League:
- up $500-$600 thanks to the field switch
- getting some money back anytime there is a rain out

Website:
- 2 URLs now that will re-direct
- $13 a year to maintain the URL
- $113 a year on website maintenance

Volunteers:
- EBay will start handling budget things
- Will need an audit committee

By Laws:
- Next month

Fall League Ops:
- HSP and Keith Wiess both rained out week 1
- Keith Weiss: half mowed on one wek
- Will try to do a makeup week for mixed at Keith Weiss
- Done well: signups
- Guys: some were upset about being put into open
- Jerseys will be there 

Goalty League:
- Design set
- Mid November
- Registration will open 

Covid Protocols:
- We can stick with current plan or we can require players to be vaccinated
- Keep this for events moving forward

Winter League:
- Field Options: Keith Weiss, Lindsey Lyons

Disc Golf Tourney: canceling - not enough interest

Indoor:
- Prize per team?
- Fields reserved
- TD is committed

Fundraising:
- Raised $800
- $200 of that from Rudyards
- Good mix of the usual HUC crowd + new people
- Weekend night will bring more people
- Raffles went well: prizes were cool
- Winter League Draft Party: it's gonna be great and horrible lol embrace it!
- Raffles for Fall League

Sponsporships:
- Started on the Fall League LinkedIn stalk
- Top 3 are Exxon, Chevron, and SLB
- CJ will be a good help for this come February
- Help Shiru with the Winter League stuff

DEI:
- Covid protocols implemeted with the help of 2 volunteers
- Mentor (on average, 2 per team) - those who signed up to be mentors have been doing a great job learning
- Google Drive for ressources that mentors can share with the newer players
- HUC Parents Slack - from Cat. Should this be within the HUC Slack?
- Women's event once a month for the next 6 months: need to make sure it doesn't interfere with other HUC events

Youth:
- 4v4 Black Friday Tourney (Nov 26th)
- Fundraising Tournament for Metro (Nov 26th)
- Chad working on a budget. Will need insurance since it's a youth event
- Determine goal for next year

College:
- Send out the info to the captains
- Captains and coaches have been added to the GroupMe
- College clinics: current captains + 2 pluses that can be developed

General:
- Be mindful not to do too much at once
- Build up to events like coaching clinic, etc. Make sure we don't stretch ourselves too thin

Long Term Stuff:
- Growth plans will require us to bring in a lot more in fundraising and sponsorship money soon
